In compliance with the National Sports Development Code 2011 on Prevention of Age Fraud, Hockey India has a policy on Age Fraud and provision of issuance of Identity Cards to all the registered players of the Hockey India Member Units.

The players register through Hockey India Member Units Portal, by uploading all relevant documents including proof of Date of Birth and age estimation medical reports in case of Sub-Juniors & Junior category.

Further, players not registered with their respective Member Units / not holding a valid ID card issued by Hockey India are not permitted to participate in the Hockey India National Championships & sanctioned tournaments held annually by Hockey India and Member Units.

Indian Men’s and Women’s National Hockey teams has their own individual Unique ID which stays with them for lifetime. The unique ID is given to the players on his/her debut in representing the Indian Men and Women teams in an International tournament. This unique ID process came into existence since inception of Hockey India in 2009.
