Sikar (Rajasthan), 19 May 2019: On Day 5 of 9th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship 2019 (B Division), Chhattisgarh Hockey, Hockey Patiala, Hockey Maharashtra, Mumbai School Sports Association and Hockey Rajasthan registered impressive victories in their respective Pool matches.

In Pool A, Chhattisgarh Hockey defeated Manipur Hockey 7-4 as Sulochna Netam (2′, 3′), Harshita Sahu (12′), Isha Sahu (22′), Nandani Thakur (37′), Captain Monika Tirkey (48′) and Kusum Mahto (57′) scored for the winning team, while Manipur Hockey’s goals came through Tanu Shorensangbam (33′, 50′), Ayingbi Chanu Takhellmbam (25′) and Babyrani Devi Sandam (35′).

The other Pool A match saw Hockey Patiala register another victory as they beat Andhra Hockey Association 5-0. Goals for Hockey Patiala were scored by Sukhveer Kaur (1′, 19′, 22′, 35′) and Taranpreet Kaur (43′).

In Pool B, Hockey Maharashtra defeated Kerala Hockey 5-0 as Himanshi Gawande (4′, 19′, 52′) scored a hat-trick of goals, while Manashri Shedge (22′) and Gauri Mukane (42′) also contributed.

Pool D’s match between Hockey Puducherry and Mumbai School Sports Association saw the latter register an impressive 3-0 win. Goals for Mumbai School Sports Association were scored by Shreya Hande (5′, 26′) and Kashish Mourya (12′).

The other Pool D match saw Hockey Rajasthan beat Hockey Gujarat by a slim margin of 2-1. Goals for Hockey Rajasthan were scored by Chetnarani Das (26′) and Sakshi Shukla (36′), while Hockey Gujarat’s solitary goal came in the 28th minute through Kashish Patel.
