Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), 23 April 2018: Action in the 8th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2018 (B Division) continued here today which saw Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Bihar and Hockey Andhra Pradesh register victories in their respective matches of the competition.
In Pool A, Hockey Karnataka defeated Namdhari XI 4-3 to register their second consecutive win of the competition. Goals for Hockey Karnataka were scored by NT Rakesh (20′), V Suresh (34′), skipper Harish Mutagar (66′) and S Harsha (70′) while Akashdeep Singh (5′, 52′) and Hanspal Singh (46′) scored for Namdhari XI.
In Pool C, Hockey Bihar beat Goans Hockey 11-1 where goals for the victors were scored by Abhay Kumar (19′, 33′, 51′, 57′), captain Anand Kumar Bara (37′, 53′, 70′), Sanchit Horo (59′, 66′) and Md Sidik (63′, 67′) while Santosh Vaddotti (70′) scored the sole goal for Goans Hockey.
In Pool E, Hockey Andhra Pradesh triumphed 14-0 over Tripura Hockey to register their first victory of the competition. Goals for Hockey Andhra Pradesh were scored by Hitesh Rao Lekkala (1′, 12′, 26′, 28′, 37′, 61′), Sreenivasa Rao Thammisetty (21′, 33′, 34′, 69′), Rama Krishna Vooti (5′), Ramulu Sunnapu (35′), Nagendra Babu Vadde (58′) and skipper Naga Upendra Galla (67′).

The Hockey India Disciplinary Committee Meeting chaired by Bhola Nath Singh, who is also the Vice President of Hockey India, on Tuesday unanimously decided to suspend players from Punjab Armed Police for a period of 12-18 months while players from Punjab National Bank have been suspended for 6-12 months respectively following the recent violence that broke out during the Final of 56th Nehru Senior Hockey Tournament (Men) between Punjab Armed Police and Punjab National Bank, clearly violating the Hockey India/ Hockey India League Code of Conduct.
