New Delhi, 3 September 2013: Hockey India today announces its Junior Men Hockey Team for the 3rd Sultan of Johar Cup to be played at Johar Bahru, Malaysia from 22-29 September 2013.

Hockey India Selectors Mr. B P Govinda, Mr. Syed Ali, Dr. R P Singh and Mr. Gregg Clark, Foreign Coach Junior Men Team and Mr. Baljeet Singh Saini, Coach Junior Men Team alongwith Government Observer Harbinder Singh selected the list of 18 players with 9 standbys during the selection trials held at Major Dhyanchand National Stadium in New Delhi on 28-29 August 2013.

The 18 member squad will be Captained by midfielder Manpreet Singh while forward Affan Yousef will be the Vice-Captain.

Before departing for Malaysia, the junior men team will have their preparatory camp at Major Dhyanchand National Stadium in New Delhi from 7-17 September 2013.

The six nation tournament will feature Argentina, England, India, Korea, Malaysia and Pakistan. India finished as runners-up in the last edition of the tournament played in 2012.

Hockey India will be hosting the FIH Junior Men Hockey World Cup 2013 in New Delhi from06-15 December 2013.
