New Delhi, 20 August 2014: With the forthcoming 17th Asian Games all set to commence on 19th September 2014, the Asian Hockey Federation today announced the pools for Hockey for both Men and Women during the Games.

In the Men’s category, India is placed in Pool B with Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Oman and China while Korea, Malaysia, Japan, Bangladesh and Singapore are placed in Pool A.

In the Women’s category, India is placed in Pool A with China, Malaysia and Thailand while Korea, Japan, Kazakhstan and Hong Kong China are placed in Pool B.

The upcoming Games is an all important event for both Indian Men and Women teams as their bagging the Gold will ensure them a berth in 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio de Janerio, Brazil.
