New Delhi, 2 July 2013: In preparations for the 9th Men’s Asia Cup to be held at Ipoh, Malaysia from 24 August-01 September 2013, the training camp of the senior men core probables will be conducted at SAI Centre, Bangalore from 16 July-16 August 2013.

Hockey India Selectors B.P Govinda, Savitri Purty, Chief Coach Michael Nobbs and Scientific Advisor Jason Konrath alongwith Government Observer Harbinder Singh selected the 48 senior men core probables for the preparatory camp of the Asia Cup starting from 16 July 2013.

India is placed Pool B with Korea, Bangladesh and Oman while Pakistan, Malaysia, Japan and Chinese-Taipei are in Pool A. The 9th Asia Cup is also the qualification tournament for the FIH Men’s World Cup 2014 to be played in The Hague, The Netherlands from 31 May-15 June 2014.

The list of 48 senior men core probables includes 7 goalkeepers, 9 defenders, 12 midfielders and 20 forwards.
