HIM Academy, the Academy Member of Hockey India is making its best efforts to promote hockey in the grassroots district of Solan, Himachal Pradesh.  As a result of its efforts, the newly constructed hockey stadium of HIM Academy at Guru Nanak Public School Jagaat Khana in Solan will be inaugurated on 6th September 2014. The stadium will be inaugurated by Mr. Ali Raza Rizvi(IAS) Principal Secretary (Higher Education, Elementary Education, Information Technology) and Director, HIM Academy.

Initially, the stadium had a natural grass field but HIM Academy aims to install an artificial turf soon. The stadium also has a capacity to accommodate 2000 spectators and a hostel with 10 rooms is ready for the academy players. HIM Academy has 80 girls of different age groups are currently training there.

This first-of-its-kind domestic league promises to be a thrilling showcase of the nation's top female hockey talent.
