New Delhi, 24 April 2013: Tamil Nadu entered the quarter-finals of the 3rdHockey India Junior Women National Championship, as they beat Gujarat 12-0 in Pool B at the Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi on Wednesday.

Brindha Esther and Parameshwari scored three goals each for Tamil Nadu followed by Swetha (2), Kalavathi (1), Vembarasi (1), Durachi Rajam (1) and Punitra (1). Gujarat committed so many errors and failed to score any goal.

Priyanka Wankhede scored five goals as Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy defeated Andhra Pradesh 17-0 in Pool D league match.

The goal scorers for MPHA were Priyanka Wankhede (2, 7, 18, 40, 41 min), Shikha Sharma (8 min), R Ramngaihzuali (17, 48, 49 min), Nikharika Saxena (20min), H Lalruateeli (30, 56 min), Diksha Tiwari (43, 58 min), Reena Rathore (59 min), Shyma Tigdam (61, 65 min).
