New Delhi, 26 September 2015: With the 5th Sultan of Johor Cup just around the corner the India Men Jr Team are gearing up to go all out and ensure positive results. Slated to take place from 11th to 18th October 2015, the two-time reigning champion India Junior Men Team is determined to defend its title for the third time in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Riding high on confidence, 19-year old young Indian defender Anand Lakra is working hard to strengthen his skills to ensure positive results in his favour. Being an integral part of the team in the international tournaments, he has been constantly providing support to the midfielders and forwards by initiating attacks for them by taking possession of the ball and counter attacking.

Speaking on the upcoming tournament, defender Anand Lakra said, “I am very confident of the team’s chances of winning the tournament again as most of the players are the same from the last edition. Our team is improving gradually and rectifying our problem areas in a planned manner. As the tournament will be tougher from previous year, we will have to fill-up the gaps and strengthen the defence structure of our team as defence will play a more dynamic role in attack.  We are satisfied with our performance in the preparation camp and definite to retain the title.”
