Imphal, 19 May 2022: Hockey Haryana, Uttar Pradesh Hockey, Hockey Madhya Pradesh and Hockey Jharkhand qualified for the Semi-Finals of the 12th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2022 after beating their respective Quarter-Final opponents here on Thursday.
 
In the first Quarter-Final, Hockey Haryana beat Hockey Mizoram 4-1. Pooja (23', 36') bagged a brace, while Shashi Khasa (54') and Riya (56') contributed a goal each for Hockey Haryana. Lalpeksangi (57') scored the only goal for Hockey Mizoram.
 
Uttar Pradesh Hockey became the second team to qualify for the Semi-Final of the competition after registering a comfortable 5-0 win over Hockey Chandigarh in their Quarter-Final match. Purnima Yadav (39', 56') netted twice, while Suneeta Kumari (32'), Pushpanjali Sonkar (35') and Vandana Patel (46') scored a goal each for the winning team.
 
In the third Quarter-Final, Hockey Madhya Pradesh edged Hockey Maharashtra 2-1 in a thrilling contest. Tahur Naaz (30') and Gungun Kaur (57') were the goalscorers for the winning team, while Sanika Chandrakant Mane (47') got on the scoresheet for Hockey Maharashtra.
 
In the fourth Quarter-Final, Hockey Jharkhand outplayed Hockey Punjab 5-1 to seal a spot in the Semi-Final. Nisha Minj (14', 50') and Binima Dhan (23', 60') each netted twice, while Sweety Dungdung (25') scored a goal for Hockey Jharkhand. Meanwhile, Hockey Punjab's lone goal came from the stick of Lakhvir Kaur in the 40th minute.
 
The Semi-Finals of the 12th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2022, Imphal will be played on Saturday, 21 May 2022.
