New Delhi, 14 April 2014: The Hockey Maharashtra edged out the host Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd 2-1 in Pool A and enter the semi-finals of the 3^rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (West Zone) played at Mumbai Hockey Association Limited Ground Maharashtra on Sunday.

Alaknanda Bagadi scored opening goal for The Hockey Maharastra in the 40^thminute. Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd leveled the score in the 64^th minute but second goal scored by Alaknanda helped The Hockey Maharashtra to win their last league match. Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy who topped Pool A has already qualified for semi-finals.

In Pool B Rajasthan defeated Chhattisgarh 3-1 while Goa beat Gujarat 2-0.

Both Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are through to the semi-finals. Semi-finals will be played on Monday 15 April 2013.
