Jabalpur, 14 January 2019:  Action in the 9th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2019 (B Division) continued into its fifth day here in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh which saw Hockey Bhopal, Hockey Madhya Bharat, Namdhari XI, Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Punjab National Bank, Bengal Hockey Association, Bengaluru Hockey Association and Hockey Patiala top their respective Pools to advance to the Quarter-Finals of the competition.

In Pool H, it was Hockey Patiala who secured qualification to the Quarter-Finals as they defeated Hockey HIM 5-0 in their last Pool match to take their tally to nine points. Goals for Hockey Patiala were contributed by Rahul (6′, 20′), Aman Thakur (3′), Bikramjeet Singh (48′) and Gurshahzad Singh (55′).

In Pool G’s last encounter, it was Hockey Uttarakhand who ended their campaign with a 5-0 win over Goans Hockey, but it was not enough to earn them qualification to the Quarter-Finals as they finished second in the Pool with three points, behind leaders Bengaluru Hockey Association (6 points). Goals for Hockey Uttarakhand were scored by Rajeev Kumar (19′, 59′), Sumit Kumar (30′), Ritik Raj (34′) and Mitesh Singh (36′).

1st Quarter-Final – 0730hrs – Hockey Bhopal v Hockey Patiala

2nd Quarter-Final – 0930hrs – Hockey Madhya Bharat v Bengaluru Hockey Association

3rd Quarter-Final – 1130hrs – Namdhari XI v Bengal Hockey Association

4th Quarter-Final – 1400hrs –  Hockey Madhya Pradesh v Punjab National Bank
