Results from Day 2 of 8th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2018 (B Division)

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), 22 April 2018: The 8th Hockey India Junior Men National Championship 2018 (B Division) kicked-off here today which saw Hockey Karnataka, Hockey Coorg, Bengal Hockey Association and Bengaluru Hockey Association register victories in their respective matches.

In Pool A, Hockey Karnataka defeated Hockey Madhya Bharat 5-3 where goals for the winning team were scored by BN Chelsea Medappa (19′, 52′), Pavan Madiwalar (2′), skipper Harish Mutagar (21′) and CS Shamanth (66′) while Prateek Bhavsar (22′), Abhishek Yadav (43′) and Shahnawaj Khan (68′) scored for Hockey Madhya Bharat.

In Pool E, Hockey Coorg beat Hockey Andhra Pradesh 5-2. Goals for Hockey Coorg were scored by BR Deepak Yadav (19′), F Noel Robinson (32′), Gaje (45′), MP Ashik Uthappa (59′) and Paramjeet (70′) while Sreenivasa Rao Thammisetty (34′) and Siva Pramod Galla (53′) scored for Hockey Andhra Pradesh.

In Pool B, Bengal Hockey Association defeated Hockey Jammu & Kashmir 8-0. Suraj Yadav (11′, 21′, 66′), Lorik Pal (14′, 60′), Kallu Ali (16′), Rahul Dev Shaw (29′) and Sunil Rajbhar (35′) scored the goals in the match.

In Pool F, Bengaluru Hockey Association defeated Hockey Puducherry 4-1. Goals for Bengaluru Hockey Association were scored by Kiro Binit (25′, 70′), Santosh Mallappa Karisiri (28′) and HR Dishanth (55′) while skipper S Surjith (6′) scored the only goal for Hockey Puducherry.

In Pool H, Sports Authority of Gujarat – Hockey Academy played out a 2-2 draw with Assam Hockey. Goals for Sports Authority of Gujarat – Hockey Academy were scored by Nikal Ashari (36′) and Sahil Katiyar (55′) while Assam Hockey’s both goals were scored by Ankit Kumar (16′, 59′).
