New Delhi, 19 October 2013: Government Girls Senior Secondary School (Shahbad) came from behind a two goal deficit to win the title of Hockey India 20^th Nehru Junior Girls Hockey Tournament 2013 played at Shivaji Stadium on Friday.

In the final played here, Government Girls SSS (Shahbad) defeated Kiddy’s Corner HSS (Gwalior) 4-2.

Defending Champions Kiddy’s Corner who led 2-0 at the half time scored through Karishma Yadav (23^rd minute) and Sadhna Sengar (32^nd minute).

Government Girls SSS (Shahbad) made a strong comeback at the start of the second half scoring field goal through Reet (37^th minute). In the 47^th minute Manpreet Kaur scored an equaliser for Government Girls SSS (Shahbad).

Ritu (54^th minute) and Reet (58^th minute) scored two quick goals for Government Girls SSS (Shahbad) which helped them to win this match.

In the play-off for the third place, Birsa Munda Vidyapitha (Rourkela) beat Government Model SSS (Chandigarh) 5-3.
